Locals said the snake was first seen on the road from Yadagiripalli to Mylargudem and later slipped into the house of Rachakonda Raju on the colony outskirts. A neighbour who noticed it alerted Raju's family. Family members and residents were alarmed as the python appeared near the house at night. Forest officials and a snake catcher caught the 9-to-12-foot python and released it in a forest. Residents were asked to report snakes without harming them.
The Chandupatla Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society in Bhuvanagiri mandal of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district extended financial assistance to the families of members who died of illness. Heirs of Thotakuri Peddadanayya (54), Dommata Pentayya (85) and Kankala Lakshmi (46), who died recently, were given Rs 30,000 each, totalling Rs 90,000, on Monday from the members' dividend fund. Chairperson Jeelugu Satish Pawan handed over the aid, saying cooperatives should support members' families in difficult times and share in member welfare.
Bibinagar police and SOT teams jointly seized 27 kg of mephedrone worth Rs 54 crore and about 40 kg of acetone liquid in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. During vehicle checks on the outskirts of Kondamadugu on Saturday, a car with Maharashtra registration was stopped and seized. SP Akshansh Yadav said on Sunday that Chetan Madhukar Mefram, Mujamal Haq, Upadrashta Ramanamurthy and Akash Ashok Gawande were arrested, while four others are absconding.

District Collector Hanumantha Rao has issued show cause notices to 82 staff of the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district government hospital. Action was taken against 19 employees absent from duty without permission and 63 who did not follow timings. He made a surprise inspection of the hospital on Thursday, examining it for three hours. He expressed displeasure at the contractor over incomplete works and at sanitation staff over poor sanitation, spoke to four emergency ward patients and said quality must not be compromised.
Gujja Ramchandra Reddy, a social activist from Gourayipalli village in Yadagirigutta mandal of Yadadri district, filed his nomination as an independent candidate for the Alair Assembly seat in Telangana, paying the Rs 10,000 deposit with 10,000 one-rupee coins collected as donations from the public. Election officials took two hours to count the coins. He has contested the same way four times since 2009, saying democracy has turned into a rule of money.
Police raided houses allegedly used to make adulterated milk in Kanumukkula and Bheemanapally villages of Bhoodan Pochampally mandal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, on Wednesday. According to SI Vikram Reddy, 350 litres of adulterated milk, 100 ml of hydrogen peroxide and two Dolophor skimmed milk packets were seized from Kappala Ravi of Bheemanapally. At Kumbham Ravi's house in Kanumukkula, 100 litres of milk, 200 ml of hydrogen peroxide and two packets were seized. Both men were taken into custody, a case registered and samples sent to a laboratory.
