Hyderabad's PM10 levels fall, Nalgonda's rise: officials
Air pollution control measures in Telangana are showing mixed results. Hyderabad's annual average PM10 level fell from 86 micrograms per cubic metre in 2019-20 to 80 in 2025-26, the environment department found. Nalgonda's level rose from 59 to 71 in the same period, while Sangareddy's fell from 87 to 78. The Air Quality Monitoring Committee decided to scientifically identify pollution sources and act on them, and will set up 13 new monitoring stations in the CURE region along with an SMS alert system.
