The Principal District and Sessions Court in Medak has invited applications to fill 12 posts on a contract basis. The vacancies include Senior Superintendent 1, Senior Assistant 1, Stenographer Grade-III 1, Junior Assistant 2, Typist 2, Driver 1 and Office Subordinate 4. The contract period is two years and the age limit is 18-34 years. Educational qualifications have been fixed post-wise. Medak MLA Dr Mynampally Rohit Rao laid foundation stones for CC road and drainage construction works worth Rs 2.93 crore in Medak town. The works will be taken up in wards 31, 30, 23, 22, 20, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21 and 28. He said every ward would get equal priority and that funds were being brought with state government support. He directed officials and contractors to maintain quality and finish on schedule. Municipal councillors, Congress leaders, officials and residents attended.
Narsapur Government Degree College marked NSS Foundation Day with a "Nasha Mukt Yuva – Viksit Bharat" programme. Circle Inspector Ranga Krishna told students to stay away from drugs and focus on studies, skill development, sports and social service, and to limit mobile phone use. The event was held under the guidance of Principal Dr K. Hussain and presided over by Vice Principal Dr Sameera Najmeen. Faculty and NSS volunteers later pledged to stay away from drugs.
Thieves broke into four houses in Chillapalli village of Peddashankarampet mandal in Telangana's Medak district on Thursday midnight. Family members said over 100 tolas of gold jewellery and one kilogram of silver articles were taken from Rayini Ramulu's house. Two tolas of gold was stolen from Esireddy Manikreddy's house, three masala of gold from Jaggu Chinna Mallareddy's house, and earrings and an anklet chain from Jaggu Arundhati's house. Alladurgam CI Renuka Reddy and SI Praveen Reddy inspected the site; CCTV footage is being examined.
