Village youth and residents of Mutyampet in Jagtial district on Tuesday felicitated Telangana Shivaji Sena district president Busa Madhu and Vakiti Tirupati Reddy, who has been newly appointed BJYM district secretary. The two leaders thanked those who made the felicitation programme a success. They also said they hoped the cooperation and support extended by the youth and residents of the village would continue in the same manner.
Jagtial District Collector B. Satya Prasad has directed officials to conduct a thorough inquiry into complaints and petitions received through Prajavani and resolve them promptly. He received grievances from the public at the programme held on Monday at the collectorate auditorium. A total of 67 complaints and petitions were received. He asked officials not to keep applications pending, to settle them within the stipulated time and inform applicants. Additional Collector B. Raja Goud, DRO K. Y. Prasad and RDOs Jeevakar Reddy and Narasimha Rao attended.
Mohammed Qutubuddin Pasha, a minority leader from Metpally, has been appointed general secretary of the Jagtial district Congress party. District Congress president Gajangi Nandayya issued the orders on Wednesday and handed over the appointment letter to Pasha. The decision was taken by the Congress leadership under the leadership of TPCC delegate member Sujith Rao. Constituency Congress cadres, senior leaders, workers and members of the public met Pasha and congratulated him on securing the district-level post.
Jagtial district has been sanctioned Rs 30 crore under the Special Development Fund. The Telangana government issued GO No. 22 allotting Rs 10 crore each to the Jagtial, Koratla and Dharmapuri assembly segments, releasing the money without requests from MLAs. Utilisation responsibility has been given to in-charge minister Uttam Kumar Reddy. Of every Rs 10 crore, Rs 2 crore is for school infrastructure, Rs 1 crore for drinking water and Rs 50 lakh for office maintenance. Spending must be completed by March 31.
The Police Act will be in force across Jagtial district for one month, from March 1 to March 31, in view of law and order, District SP Ashok Kumar said in a statement. He said no dharnas, rasta rokos, protests, rallies, public meetings or gatherings should be held without permission from police officers. He also asked people not to disturb law and order or take part in unlawful activities damaging government property, and sought cooperation from all sections.
