They said the week is being organised in five states and that ISRO-built rockets and space models will be displayed, urging students and youth to attend in large numbers.
A notification has been issued to fill 33 vacancies under the National Health Mission in the Jayashankar Bhupalpally district medical and health department. Posts include 12 MLHP/CHO/MO Palle Dawakhana, nine staff nurses, five lab technicians, three second ANMs and one each in the remaining categories. Applicants must be aged 18 to 44, with relaxations for reserved categories. Offline applications open October 3 and close October 13. The fee is Rs 500 for General and OBC, Rs 300 for SC and ST. The Krishna District Youth Festival 2026 was held on 06.10.2026 at A.G & S.G Siddhartha Arts & Science Degree College, Vuyyuru. Organised by STEP, KRISHI and the District Youth Welfare Department, the contests drew college students from across the district in five items: folk dance, folk song, street play, painting and poetry writing. District Employment Officer Ch. Madhu Bhushan Rao attended as chief guest. Winners received certificates and mementoes.
PDSU submitted a representation to District Additional Collector Bhujangarao at Prajavani, seeking compound walls for the ZPHS at Theermanpalli village and the KGBV at Indalwai in Nizamabad district. District general secretary L. Anil and mandal secretary M. Munna Kumar said the absence of walls left the premises unprotected, allowing outsiders and cattle to enter. As girls reside and study at the KGBV, they urged officials to sanction funds and begin construction immediately.
Khammam District Collector Divakara TS directed education officials to work towards a 99% pass rate in Class 10. He held a review on Monday at the collectorate along with Additional Collector Dr P. Sreeja. Special classes should begin after Diwali, with attention to lagging students, he said. FLN competencies must reach at least 80%, and inflated or false reports would not be tolerated. MLA Madhusudan Reddy said the Congress government has launched a breakfast scheme in schools so that students do not remain half-hungry. He launched the scheme at the Zilla Parishad High School in Chinnachintakunta mandal headquarters and had breakfast along with the students. He later inspected the government junior college and spoke to students about their problems. When students sought the filling of a vacant commerce lecturer post, he directed officials to speak to the DEO immediately and appoint a lecturer.
Begumpet Government Women's Degree College in Hyderabad has released a notification to fill guest faculty posts for the 2026-27 academic year. The posts will be filled in eight departments: English, Commerce, Political Science, History, Economics, Mathematics, Botany and Chemistry. Candidates must have completed postgraduation in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks, while SC and ST applicants need 50%. Those qualified in NET or SET, or holding a PhD in the relevant subject, will be given weightage in selection.
The office of the District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO), Rangareddy district in Telangana, has invited applications to fill 13 posts on a contract basis. They include six medical officer and two pharmacist posts, and one each of psychologist, DEIC manager, staff nurse, lab technician and social worker. Depending on the post, candidates need Intermediate, a diploma, GNM, PG or MBBS, with Telangana Medical Council registration. Age limit is 18-34 years; pay is Rs 21,000-Rs 40,000 a month. ABVP student union leaders protested outside MIMS Junior College in Mancherial on Sunday, alleging that Intermediate classes were being held on holidays in violation of government rules, and complained to the District Intermediate Officer. The DIO conducted a surprise inspection and officials found special classes and examinations under way. The DIO said warnings barring holiday classes in private junior colleges had already been issued several times by email and social media. A full report will be submitted to Intermediate Board higher officials on Monday, with strict action against the management.
A district-level quiz contest was held on Friday at Sri Buddha School in Kalingapatnam, Srikakulam district, organised by Vedam International AI Academy. Students from schools across the district took part. Eleven teams qualified for the finals after screening rounds. Pathapatnam Oxford School teams won first prize in mathematics (Boori Saimohit), second in physics (Pragada Karthik), third in chemistry (Yerra Abhishek) and a consolation prize in mathematics (Badana Karthik). Director Dr G. Rajeswara Rao and principal M. Venkataramana congratulated them.
District Collector Dr S. Venkateswar, along with APSPDCL CMD Lotheti Sivasankar, launched a job mela in Tirupati organised by APSPDCL with support from the state Skill Development department. The Collector said unemployed youth should not limit themselves to government jobs and must use opportunities in the private sector. He said Sri City's electronic manufacturing cluster and Naidupeta industrial park had brought the district recognition, with over 500 companies backed by investors from about 55 countries operating there.

The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) will hold a job mela in Visakhapatnam on July 18 to fill 1,000 vacancies at Yokohama. These include 500 Industrial Apprentice Trainee and 500 Women Apprentice Trainee posts. Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), Hyderabad, has issued a notification to fill 310 ITI Trade Apprentice posts. Online applications opened on September 30 and close on October 11. Vacancies include 87 fitter, 86 electronics mechanic, 50 electrician and 41 COPA posts. Candidates need an ITI/NCVT certificate in the relevant trade and must be aged 18-25 as on October 31, 2026. The Telangana State Board of Technical Education released the TG POLYCET-2025 results on Saturday for admission to polytechnic diploma courses. Gouruganti Sreeja of Miryala village in Suryapet district secured the first rank in the state. Students from the combined Nalgonda district won seven ranks within the top 100. In Nalgonda district 3,935 of 4,766 candidates passed, in Suryapet 2,432 of 2,911, and in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri 1,347 of 1,664.
The Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department has invited applications for 237 para medical staff posts on contract/outsourcing basis in government hospitals under the West Godavari District Medical and Health Office. Depending on the post, candidates need Tenth class, ITI, Intermediate, Diploma, BSc, D/B Pharmacy or BE/BTech qualifications. Age must be 18–42 years as on July 1, 2022. Applications must reach the DMHO office in Eluru by post before August 20, 2022. Fee is Rs 250 for general candidates; SC/BC/differently abled are exempt. Competitive exam aspirants in the combined Vizianagaram district are relying on public libraries for study material. The central library has 41 branches, with around 52,000 books at the main centre, all digitised, and up to 25 available at branch offices. P. Santhosh Kumar of VT Agraharam said he recently secured three jobs after studying there. P. Venkatalakshmi credited group discussions and current affairs books for her DSC post. On Monday, MLA Aditi Gajapathi Raju gave books and pens to 598 students in Gajularega schools.
The Bhadradri Kothagudem district medical and health officer's office has invited applications to fill vacancies in palle and basti dawakhanas. The notification says 97 medical officer posts will be filled. Applicants must hold an MBBS degree and be registered with the TS Medical Council, with selection based on merit. Awaaz Committee leaders on Wednesday submitted a petition to MLA Prattipati Pullarao seeking the immediate resumption of stalled construction of a minority girls' gurukul school at Tatapudi village in Chilakaluripet. They said the Rs 18 crore project, for which the foundation stone was laid between 2014 and 2019, had come to a halt, leaving Muslim girls deprived of education. The MLA said the matter had already been brought to Chief Minister Chandrababu's notice and assured that works would begin and be completed soon. Awaaz district president Sheikh Fairoz and CPM leader Venkateswarlu took part.
