Manipur working to help violence-hit IDPs return home: CM
Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh said on Monday in Imphal that since the new government was formed on February 4, 2026, it has worked to facilitate the return of violence-affected internally displaced persons to their homes and villages. He said talks were held with civil society organisations to bridge the trust deficit. Benefits worth Rs 2,19,25,000 were distributed to labour card holders; 2,531 beneficiaries received over Rs 1.42 crore, and 2,531 IDPs get Direct Benefit Transfer aid.
