Nifty gains 1% ahead of RBI policy as banks, RIL lead
The Nifty closed 0.98 per cent higher at 22,776.1 and the Sensex gained 0.95 per cent to 73,067.81 on Tuesday, their strongest single-day gains in two months, on expectations of healthy second-quarter earnings and Brent crude falling below $100 a barrel. Investor wealth rose ₹4.76 trillion. RIL advanced 2.7 per cent, adding ₹42,763 crore in market value. India Vix fell 8 per cent to 13.59. Analysts said Wednesday's RBI policy decision would direct the market.
