Opposition marches to Election Commission, seeks CEC's resignation
INDIA bloc MPs marched from Parliament to Nirvachan Sadan, the Election Commission headquarters, on Tuesday, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over disputed voter list revisions. Led by Rahul Gandhi, lawmakers carried "Save Democracy" banners; Gandhi sat on a dharna near Parliament after barricades blocked the march. DMK and AAP stayed away. The Election Commission and BJP denied allegations that revised rolls favour the ruling party. Congress announced a nationwide campaign through November.
