Singeetam Srinivasa Rao's last rites held in Chennai
Noted director Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, 95, died Saturday night at Kaveri Hospital in Chennai after illness. He had been unwell for some time due to age-related problems. His last rites were performed by family members on Sunday evening at the Nesapakkam crematorium in Chennai. He is survived by two daughters, Shakuntala and Sudha. His nephew Poorna Pragna, his co-director and caretaker for decades, conducted the rites. Kamal Haasan, Shivalenka Krishna Prasad, Nag Ashwin, Swapna Dutt, V. N. Aditya and Devi Sri Prasad paid tributes.
