Akash Deep set to return on New Zealand tour; Iyer may lead ODIs
India will tour New Zealand after the T20 series against the West Indies, playing T20Is, ODIs and Tests. The selection committee is likely to meet on October 6 or 7. Media reports say pacer Akash Deep, out for seven months with a back injury, will return. He took six wickets for 68 runs in 24 overs in the Irani Cup. The five-match ODI series ends November 15 and the Tests begin November 19; if Shubman Gill is rested, vice-captain Shreyas Iyer may lead in the last two ODIs.
