No voter deleted on basis of objection so far in Karnataka: CEO
Karnataka received 91,278 Form 7 applications during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, but no voter has been removed on the basis of an objection so far, Chief Electoral Officer V Anbukumar said on Monday. He said an ERO must hold an inquiry before any deletion, under Rules 16 to 20 of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960. Bidar recorded the most applications at 5,953. The state had 4,50,29,916 voters as of October 5. The final hearing is on October 12.
