All government schools to be four-star by 2029: Lokesh
The Andhra Pradesh government has set a target of upgrading all government schools to four-star infrastructure by 2029, with at least 1,000 developed as five-star institutions. At a review meeting at his Undavalli residence on Monday, HRD and IT Minister Nara Lokesh directed officials to raise all 1,685 one-star schools to two-star within a year and zero-star schools to one-star this academic year. He also sought 175 LEAP schools and computer and Atal Tinkering Labs in 7,000 high schools.
