Nigeria's Tinubu congratulates Modi on 25 years as head of government
Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 25 years as a head of government. In a statement, Tinubu noted Modi first took office in 2001 as Chief Minister of Gujarat, served the state for more than twelve years, and has been India's Prime Minister since 2014. He recalled Modi's November 2024 State Visit to Abuja, when Nigeria conferred the title Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger, and voiced confidence that cooperation in trade, energy, defence, health, education and technology would deepen.
