Rahul Gandhi detained at Delhi protest against election chief
Police in New Delhi detained opposition lawmakers, including Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka, as they tried to breach barricades during a protest on Tuesday demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, television channels said. The march, over a disputed revision of voter lists, ran from parliament to the Election Commission headquarters. Congress alleges the revised rolls benefit Modi and the BJP; the commission and BJP denied this. The Supreme Court has agreed to hear arguments on the accusations.
