Agent arrested as four Telangana men remain stranded in Russia
Nizamabad police have arrested Gourav Chaudhary, 34, a native of Karwara in Uttar Pradesh, accused of facilitating the recruitment of four Telangana men into the Russian Army after they were lured with promises of civilian jobs, commissioner P Sai Chaitanya said. Gourav claimed his bank accounts were used by a Russian Army recruitment agency, a claim under verification. A Sept 30 complaint alleges agents collected ₹2.4 lakh and later ₹50,000. Families are seeking government intervention.
