Police clash with protesters outside Kosovo Parliament over war crimes court

Police and protesters clashed outside Kosovo's Parliament in Pristina on Monday evening after the session ended without passing proposed limits on the powers of the Hague-based war crimes court. Police used tear gas and water cannons, while some protesters threw flares and firecrackers. Hospital official Naser Syla said 12 people were injured, including 11 civilians. The bill followed the September 16 conviction of former President Hashim Thaci, sentenced to 25 years.
