India bloc protest in Sircilla, CEC effigy burned
An all-party India bloc protest rally was held at the Sircilla district headquarters. Demanding the resignation of CEC Gnaneshwar, leaders of the Congress, CPI, CPM and Telangana Jana Samithi marched from the RDO office to Gandhi Chowk, where they burned an effigy of the CEC. They sought legal action against Amit Shah and Prime Minister Modi, and alleged that attempts were under way in Telangana to delete votes so the BJP could come to power. They called for united struggle to protect democracy.
