Rangareddy DMHO caught taking Rs 1 lakh bribe by ACB
Rangareddy district medical and health officer Dr Swarnakumari was reportedly caught accepting a Rs 1 lakh bribe by Anti-Corruption Bureau officials, who raided the DMHO office at Shivarampally in Rajendranagar on Monday (October 05). A complaint alleged a demand of Rs 2 lakh to permit reopening of a physiotherapy hospital in LB Nagar shut for lacking a licence. The first instalment of Rs 1 lakh was handed through health inspector Srinivasa Rao to driver Krishnaiah. Swarnakumari and Srinivasa Rao were taken into custody; searches continue.
