Shinde responds to Mangesh Chivte's Pune council candidature
Indications of a rebellion within the Mahayuti have emerged ahead of the Pune Legislative Council elections, with reports that Mangesh Chivte of Shinde's Shiv Sena will file his nomination. Though the BJP holds the Pune Graduate seat, Chivte is determined to contest. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said an AB form had been given to Chivte, the nomination process had begun, and Mahayuti discussions during the withdrawal period would decide the matter. The BJP is expected to contest Pune and Nagpur Graduate seats, Shiv Sena Amravati and the NCP Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
