Andhra health contract staff begin statewide strike from 7th
Contract employees of Andhra Pradesh's medical and health department are going on a statewide strike from the 7th of this month. APMHCE JAC chairman G. Koteswara Rao and convenor M. Ajay Kumar said 14,600 staff would participate and that all services except emergency care would be boycotted on Tuesday. They said Monday's talks at the Secretariat with Commissioners Veerapandian and Chakradhar Babu failed. Demands include 100% gross salary, regularisation, job security, health and child care leave, and higher compensation.
