Residential permits used for commercial buildings in Gadwal district
Cases of buildings sanctioned as houses being run as commercial complexes are rising in Gadwal, Aiza, Vaddepally and Alampur municipalities of Jogulamba Gadwal district. The four towns together have 4,170 commercial buildings. Over 4,000 buildings across the district are used for commercial activity, and fewer than half reportedly have permission. Following CDMA office orders, notices were issued to 13 owners in Aiza. The Supreme Court directed that premises showing commercial activity in residential areas be sealed first.
