Hunting equipment seized in Peddapalli district village
A joint team of forest personnel and local police seized hunting equipment during a raid at Kurmapalli village in Peddapalli district on Saturday. The cordon-and-search operation followed directions from senior Forest Department officials. According to a press release, the seized items included nets, snares, knives, iron cages and binding wire. Officials later held an awareness meeting for villagers as part of Wildlife Week. Forest Range Officer T. Satish Kumar urged public participation in protecting wildlife and warned of strict legal action against poaching.
