India-born cheetah gives birth to five cubs at Kuno
KJP21, a female cheetah born in India, has given birth to five healthy cubs at Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh's Sheopur district, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said on Monday. India's cheetah population has risen to 60, including 41 born on Indian soil. The father is a cheetah brought from Botswana, marking the beginning of the Botswana lineage in India, a government statement said. KJP21 is the third India-born female cheetah, after Mukhi and KGP12.
