Medvedev denies anger behind China Open disqualification shot
Daniil Medvedev said on Monday there was "zero anger" behind the shot that struck a spectator and led to his China Open semi-final disqualification. After failing to return a point with Novak Djokovic serving for the match at 7-5, 5-3, Medvedev hit the ball off the back wall into the stands with a backhand, and the chair umpire stopped play. Medvedev called it a "100% accident" and offered to apologise in person. Djokovic meets Alex de Minaur in Tuesday's final.
