Kochi Corporation considers mobile ABC units for stray dog control
The Kochi Corporation is exploring the deployment of mobile Animal Birth Control (ABC) units with veterinary surgeons and animal handlers to ensure balanced coverage across the city. Mayor V.K. Minimol said monthly surgeries at the Brahmapuram ABC Centre would rise from 100 to 150, with a 75:75 ratio between West Kochi and the rest of the city. Only 99 dogs were caught last month. LDF leader V.A. Sreejith alleged ABC activities were in limbo.
