Vance demands Iran cut nuclear enrichment capacity to end war

US Vice President JD Vance said Iran must make a meaningful reduction in its nuclear enrichment capacity for Washington to agree to end the seven-month war. In a Reuters interview, he said the US remained open to a negotiated settlement but would not trade words for actions, asking why Iran needed 60% enriched fuel if it did not want a weapon. Vance added it was unclear how Iran makes decisions. The war costs about $3 billion monthly, per a Congressional Budget Office forecast.
