Protesters graffiti Cornell building over fraternity gang rape case
Protesters smashed a glass door and spray-painted slogans including "Smash the patriarchy" at Day Hall, Cornell University's administrative headquarters in the United States, in the early hours of Monday. The action preceded a student rally over the university's handling of a civil lawsuit by a student alleging she was gang raped by seven former students at a Chi Phi fraternity party on October 19, 2024. Cornell said damaging property is not the answer. Lawyers for two of the accused rejected the claims.
