Police seize 500 ganja plants worth Rs 50 lakh in Asifabad
Checks conducted over three days in the district led to the seizure of 500 ganja plants worth Rs 50 lakh, SP Nitika Pant said on Monday. The operations were carried out under DSP B. Ashok in the Lingapur, Sirpur (U) and Kerameri police station limits. Six cases were registered across the three stations, and five accused were arrested and remanded. This year, 32 cases on dry ganja transport and sale yielded 10 kg and 68 arrests, while 23 cultivation cases saw 27 arrests.
