Assam Rifles trooper from Odisha dies of bullet injury in Nagaland
An Assam Rifles trooper from Odisha's Rayagada district died after suffering a bullet injury during operational duties in Nagaland, officials said on Tuesday. Rifleman V Teja of the 15th Assam Rifles was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. He was two days away from his 31st birthday and was due to marry on December 10, according to sources. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Naveen Patnaik offered condolences. His body was to reach Rayagada on Wednesday for last rites. The circumstances were not immediately clear.
