Father arrested in Bengaluru for assaulting minor daughter
Police in Bengaluru South district arrested a 30-year-old labourer from Bihar for allegedly sexually assaulting his minor daughter, who has a hearing impairment, officers said on Monday. The case surfaced after the girl developed severe abdominal pain and was taken to a private hospital, where doctors suspected assault and alerted the District Child Protection Unit. A sign-language interpreter was used, but she could not clearly identify the offender. CCTV footage led to the father, who confessed and was remanded to judicial custody.
