World Bank raises India's FY27 growth forecast to 7.1%
The World Bank has raised India's FY27 GDP growth forecast to 7.1 per cent from 6.6 per cent, an upgrade of 0.5 percentage points over its April projection. Growth held up better than expected despite trade and geopolitical uncertainties, it said in its India Development Update. Growth rose to 7.8 per cent in FY26 from 7.2 per cent in FY25. It flagged costlier crude, El Nino and a stock market decline as risks. Private AI investment rose from $1.2 billion in 2024 to $4.1 billion in 2025.
