Use water sparingly amid El Nino, says MLA Veeresham
Government Whip and MLA Vemula Veeresham urged farmers to use available water sparingly in view of El Nino conditions. He spoke at a division-level farmer training programme launched on Monday at Nakrekal under the local agriculture department and the ATMA committee. He advised farmers to choose crop varieties that yield higher profits with less water in the Yasangi season, said crop rotation improves soil fertility, and asked them to focus on irrigated-dry crops and pulses. He said the Chief Minister is working for dairy industry development. District Agriculture Officer Vinod Kumar, ADA Vijayender Reddy and market committee chairperson Manjula attended.
