Yogi Adityanath visits Itaunja flood victims, promises compensation
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday met flood-affected people in the Itaunja area of Lucknow district. Relief material and ration kits were distributed to around 300 affected families. He said compensation would be provided as per rules for homes damaged or collapsed in the floods, and that medical and veterinary camps would be set up along with green fodder for livestock. Villagers said relief was good but embankments mattered more, as floods hit every year. The Chief Minister said embankment preparations would begin soon and the administration would be instructed accordingly.
