Greek PM vows to intensify Parthenon marbles claim with UK
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis told a conference in Athens that Greece will ramp up efforts to recover the Parthenon marbles from the British Museum. He conceded talks with the museum, chaired by George Osborne, had not progressed. Mitsotakis noted UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham backed the sculptures' return before taking office. The British Museum has held about 160 metres of the frieze since 1816.
