GST Council meeting rescheduled to October 8 in New Delhi
The GST Council's 57th meeting has been rescheduled from October 7 to October 8, according to an official memorandum issued by the Council Secretariat on October 5. The meeting will begin at 11 am at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Proposals on the agenda include requiring judicial authorisation for arrests, raising the prosecution threshold from Rs 1 crore to Rs 5 crore, protecting input tax credit for genuine buyers, easier registration and scrapping notices below Rs 10,000.
