Compensation, jobs assured to kin of Sri City blast victims
Five workers were killed in a boiler explosion at TIL Healthcare Private Limited, a pharmaceutical unit in the Sri City Special Economic Zone in Satyavedu mandal of Tirupati district, on the morning of October 3, 2026. District Collector S. Venkateswar said the Andhra Pradesh government would stand by the bereaved families. TIL Healthcare will transfer ₹50 lakh directly to each victim's nominee within two days, with remaining dues under the Workmen's Compensation Policy to follow. Jobs will be provided to eligible family members.
