Shivakumar leaves for Delhi ahead of GST Council meeting
Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar left for New Delhi on Tuesday, a day ahead of the 57th GST Council meeting scheduled for October 8. Sources said the visit could also let him meet senior Congress leaders on pending Legislative Council appointments, nominations to boards and corporations, and two State Cabinet vacancies. With leaders including Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi engaged in protests against the ECI, such talks remain uncertain. He visited Delhi last week, met Union Ministers and submitted memoranda seeking funds due to Karnataka.
