Gandhi's 157th birth anniversary marked at Emmiganur
Mahatma Gandhi's 157th birth anniversary was observed at Emmiganur town in Kurnool district. The programme was organised by the Kurnool district Arya Vysya Sangham and the town Arya Vysya Sangham, with floral tributes offered at Gandhi's statue. Speaking at the event, Pratap Urukundayya Shetty said Gandhi united the people on the paths of non-violence, satyagraha, truth and peace and led the freedom movement, and urged everyone to follow his ideals. District Sangham president Bille Hal Bhaskar, general secretary Giri, Pratap Rangayya Shetty and Pratap Srikanth attended.
