Anakapalli tribal hamlet gets electricity for first time since Independence
Neelabandha, a hilltop tribal hamlet in Arla Panchayat of Rolugunta mandal in Anakapalli district, received electricity for the first time since Independence. Four households of around 20 people performed the 'Dhimsa' tribal dance under the new lights. APEPDCL Superintending Engineer G. Prasad said power was supplied free on the directions of District Collector Vijaya Krishnan and EPDCL CMD Prithvi Tej, with poles carried about six km as there is no road. CPI(M) district committee member K. Govind said the hamlet still lacks road access.
