Sisters turn 65-foot yacht into floating marine science classroom

Childhood memories at the helm of her family's sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay shaped Angela Rosenberg's path into marine science. In 2016 she and her sister Kari set up the ANGARI Foundation to link science, research, education and the public. They bought a 65-foot yacht, Cassandra Jade, converted its living room into a laboratory and renamed it ANGARI. Partnering Florida International University, FIU News said 12 trips a year take students shark tagging and studying plankton with scientists.
