Formal flexi jobs grew 7.5% year-on-year in Q1 FY27: ISF
Hiring is slowing in India but flexible staffing continues to add formal jobs, the Indian Staffing Federation (ISF) said in its latest Flexi Staffing Employment Trends Report. The formal flexi workforce grew 2.6% quarter-on-quarter and 7.5% year-on-year in Q1 FY27. ISF members added 1.14 lakh jobs over 12 months, taking the formal contract workforce to 1.95 million. IT staffing rose 2% sequentially and 7% year-on-year, with manufacturing and consumer sectors also contributing. ISF President Manmeet Singh said 57%-61% of new EPFO subscribers are aged 18-25.
