'Comrade Kalyan' is my first Telugu film, says Mahima Nambiar
Period entertainer 'Comrade Kalyan', starring Sree Vishnu, releases in theatres worldwide on October 9. Actor Mahima Nambiar, who plays the lead opposite him in the film directed by Janakiram Marella, said it is her first Telugu movie. She appears as Sitara Devi, a girl from Odisha, and said the 1990s backdrop, comedy and emotions made the story feel fresh. She added that the Naxalism theme is presented in an entertaining manner and the song 'Odia Pilla' drew a good response.
