Experts seek private investment for Andhra's horticulture hub plan
Horticulture experts, farmers and farmers' association leaders have sought greater private investment, better infrastructure and institutional support for Andhra Pradesh's Global Horticulture Hub under the Rayalaseema Rising programme. The Rs 1 lakh crore plan covers Rayalaseema districts and erstwhile Prakasam district over three years. Experts suggested viability gap funding for credible investors. Kadapa has 83,000 hectares under horticulture, with 75,028 hectares more planned, and GVA of Rs 10,273.866 crore targeted to reach Rs 14,406.25 crore.
