US nuclear test detection experiment asserts hegemony, says Kakodkar
Former Atomic Energy Commission of India chief Anil Kakodkar said the main aim of the experiment the US conducted on September 30 was to assert global nuclear hegemony and prevent other nations from conducting atomic tests. The experiment will enable detection of low-yield nuclear explosions. The NNSA said it conducted a subsurface, non-nuclear chemical high-explosive experiment at the Nevada National Security Site. A Federation of American Scientists study says India has 190 nuclear warheads.
