India-EFTA pact targets USD 100 billion investment, 10 lakh jobs

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the India-EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement targets USD 100 billion in investments in India over the next 15 years and is expected to create around 10 lakh direct jobs, ANI reported. He spoke after delegation-level talks with Swiss President Guy Parmelin at Hyderabad House in New Delhi on Monday. Agriculture, pharmaceuticals, textiles and engineering goods are among sectors expected to benefit. Parmelin is on a three-day visit.
