Sharathchandra Raj Urs, father of golfer Pranavi Urs, expressed joy after she became India's first gold medallist in women's golf at the 2026 Asian Games. "The relentless practice of 15 long years has finally borne fruit today. Her next big goal is the 2028 Olympics," he said. He added that Pranavi had targeted gold in both individual and team categories, and though she settled for silver in the team event, it brought the family great happiness.
