India, Switzerland sign mobility pacts; to deepen defence, nuclear ties
India and Switzerland signed migration and mobility pacts and agreed to strengthen cooperation in defence and nuclear energy as Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Swiss President Guy Parmelin on Monday. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the agreement provides multiple-entry visas for up to five years, stays of up to six months per visit and renewable one-year student permits. The Young Professionals Agreement allows exchange of 300 persons annually per country, which may rise to 500. A transport and infrastructure pact was also signed.
