AP Counter Intelligence busts spy network passing secrets to Pakistan
The Andhra Pradesh Counter Intelligence Cell has broken up a network allegedly passing defence secrets to Pakistan under 'Operation Firewall-2026'. It kept 18 persons, including 13 naval personnel, under surveillance and on the 1st of this month deployed 12 special teams for simultaneous searches across 10 states and union territories, arresting two. Visakhapatnam was identified as the hub, with information sent via encrypted software. Three cases were registered at Vijayawada Counter Intelligence PS under the BNS, UAPA 1967 and the Official Secrets Act 1923.
