Indian indices rebound after eight-week slide; experts stay cautious
The Nifty 50 rose 0.60% to 22,555.75 and the Sensex gained 0.66% to 72,382.47 on Monday, 5 October, after eight straight weeks of losses. Softer crude prices and weaker US jobs data eased rate-hike fears. Geojit's V K Vijayakumar said valuations are attractive but Brent above $100 and the US 10-year yield near 5.25% are headwinds. Analysts flagged 22,800 as key resistance and 22,200-22,000 as support.
