Don't interfere with five-time Azan if noise rules followed: Allahabad HC
The Allahabad High Court has directed the Saharanpur police and district administration not to interfere with the petitioners' right to perform Azan five times at Ayesha Mosque, subject to an undertaking to comply with the Noise Pollution Rules, 2000 and the court's 2020 loudspeaker judgment. The bench of Justice Ajit Kumar and Justice Garima Prashad asked Shanawaz Khan and five others to file a notarized affidavit. Violation of the undertaking would invite action in accordance with law.
